Game - totally disabling all kinds of progressive purchases
We need to move away from systems and tools that disable customers to make purchases. I went to the Game store in Cape Town City to purchase a mobile device for our office. I was attended to by a you sales lady who showed me around and then told me the requirements to purchase what I 8wanted. No problem, I thought; I have all the required documentation and I can email them to the her to make the purchase. Now, please note that I am living in 2018. I have no postal address; all of my service providers including Vodacom who partners with Game of mobile device sales emails me all documents pertaining to my accounts. However; Game wants me to provide printed docs? Where? In 2018?
This is a custom DISABLEMENT. It does not SUPPORT the customer experience. It DOES not facilitate sales. Now, please DO NOT get me wrong, I understand process. I was willing to follow it just that I do not receive any proof of account or bank statement via post and to expect me to produce these documents in paper is BACKWARDS and disabling and disempowering. Not to mention that White and Coloured people make it DIFFICULT for African people to do much in Cape Town. I just left the Game store - deflated, unhelped and frustrated.
Needless to say - I'm sure these views will not see the light of day. I've waited time and energy, and our business still does not have a device. Way to go Game. Unwilling to support small business. Unwilling to be agile enough to provide support for a PURCHASE in 2018.
