Game Store poor service

I’m writing with a disappointing heart

I bought a Hisense 43” TV , they showed us the tv before we pay and rightfully they are supposed to show us if the Tv is working after we’ve made payments. The sales person didn’t even take out the tv completely out of the box . When we came back to fetch the tv after making payments they didn’t check it even at the door they didn’t check it . Mind you anything would’ve happened when we went to make payments.

I did go to the store after I’ve realised that the tv screen is just black , they are saying it’s my fault and they will not replace it . How is it my fault? Also don’t TVs have warranty? What I want right now is to see the cctv footage because it’s actually painful to pay that much money only to receive an appliance that’s not working . I’m really disappointed and am not willing to let this go until something has been done . I did call Game customer service, they also are telling me that it’s the customer’s fault . By the way they didn’t even ask for a receipt or which branch did i but from .

Horrible experience , I am a first time tv buyer i even did my tv licence only for Game to disappoint me like this .

Hi Molebogeng, thank you for getting in touch. I'm sorry for the service you're receiving with your tv and that it's not switching on. This is not the experience we want you to have. Please confirm the store you bought the item at so that the matter can be addressed with the management team.

Hi Molebogeng, thank you for providing the store name. We have received a reply from the store that the tv was checked before you exited the store and that you signed for it. Unfortunately, the warranty doesn't cover cracked screens.

I’m glad the warranty doesn’t cover for cracked screens because the Tv is not cracked. Yes I was told to sign but that doesn’t mean they checked it ,the lady at the door literally put a tape on the box instead of checking it and told me to sign . So since the tv is not cracked what’s the way forward?

Also I’m on my verge of requesting a cctv footage of that day because I know i didn’t drop the tv and it’s so painful for pay that much for something you will never use.
