Game Store Pavilion Bad Service
I have never felt so disgusted and frustrated with awful customer service I just received from Game at the Pavilion Mall in Durban. Unfortunately, I purchased a defective Canon printer from the Game store on 28 August 2023 and I just brought it back to the store to see if I can replace it for a new printer. From the onset, the sales lady who assisted me took her time in her search for the floor manager, which took 20 minutes. When she returned, with an unsure look on her face, she told me that my printer would need to be booked in for an assessment. Due to my hectic study preparations for upcoming exams, I do not have time for Canon to assess their defective product and would rather be offered a replacement or credit instore to purchase a new printer. By right, I have the authority as a customer to return a defective product, which I am unhappy with to Game and expect to be offered a proper resolution to the present dilemma I am experiencing. But no, I rather waste my time reporting awful customer service and unruly management on this platform knowing my rights as a customer.
Earlier this year, when I purchased a microwave from Game at Gateway, which was defective, the floor manager at that store was gracious enough to give me the attention I needed when returning my Defy microwave and immediately authorized the sales people to offer me the credit which I requested. Why is there such a difference in the way the Game in Gateway operates to the Game at the Pavilion? All I know is I need a printer as soon as possible as I have exams coming up and it is sad to say the management and some staff need more training when dealing with issues surrounding customer service and the rights of customers.
