Game Southgate non-compliant with TCF and CPA regulations
To whom it may concern
I Mrs Seneca Magerman, am not happy with the service I have received at the Southgate store. I also am not happy with the lack of transparency from the OEM (Samsung).
I am a pensioner who bought a 58inch Samsung Smart television.
1. No one helped me to the vehicle with the very big sensitive television. My daughter and I had to take the tv on a trolley which was quite nerve wrecking 2. No one told me about the sensitivity of the screen. I am an elderly lady. No terms and conditions were explained to me during the sales transaction. It is also not on the box and manual.
Here is what happened: I bought a 58 inch Samsung tv and brackets at Game Southgate store on Saturday, 16 May 2020. The television was plugged in at the store and my daughter confirmed it worked. The television was cautiously carried to the vehicle and placed on a mattress. Upon arrival at home it was stored in a safe place until I find someone to mount it for me. On 21 May, my tenant assisted and hung the brackets also mounted the tv. When switching it on there were distorting line on the screen. We switched the tv off. On 22 May, we returned it to the store. The manager told me the screen was cracked due to negligence because the tv was fine when we took it. Only then, he told me how sensitive the sumsung smart tv is, the slightest touch can crack the screen,a lot of customers came in with the same problem, they could not help me at all.
Why is the sensitivity not declared to the customers. How is that treating customers fairly. It’s against TCF principles.
My question to Samsung is why is it not written some where on the box we were not negligence we were ********
I blame Samsung and Game for lack of information
How many customers loose thousands of rands because of lack of information My advice to the customers is, the safest is not to touch the screen at all.
I'm hurt I lost my husband recently, it took me long to save the money. Now I must go dumb my R10, 000
I pray to God to give me peace.
Hope it's not going to happen to customers after m.
Please warn the people when they buy tv's from you my lost is great.
