Game sells inferior products.
Went to Game to buy a TV. They tested the tv I chose ( everything else/cheaper was sold out)
Paid for it and left. At home I removed the tv from the box and switched it on to find that my finger had damaged the screen under the screen. This should not happen. If there is no way to remove a tv from a box (no handles etc) then how can Game expect its customers to safely remove it? I live alone so no help there.
Took it back to game being honest about what happened. Waited so long for anyone to come, then a chap that obviously wasn’t the manager (turns out he was the sales manager) came out and took one look and said he cannot say anything about this except that there was an impact.
No sir, I said, there wasn’t an impact. MY FINGER did this.
He said we can send it to the supplier and see what they said. I agreed.
Two weeks later Game calls and said the TV came back and (if they had parts, which they didn’t) to fix it would cost R4086.
Call me grasping but my previous television is still going strong after 8 years. This is obviously inferior product and Game is pushing this on customers to get rid of it.
I did speak to someone at head office who simple said that if they tested it at the store it’s my problem. Normally I would agree with this as I’m In retail myself, but I’ve never touched anything that just broke.
I will never ever shop at game again. I know they don’t care as I’ve seen their response rate on here.
Good luck game. You’ll get nothing but bad reviews wherever I go.
