GAME price beat... Or price cheat... I'm starting to wonder?

I've tried 2 weeks in a row now (last week and this) to get a price beat. The feedback today was that they are still waiting for the department responsible to confirm if it is valid. Well the price I'm trying to beat has been available on the BobShop and Nutronics websites for over a week now. The only reason I haven't purchased it from them is that Game has the price beat option, however I'm starting to think it is just marketing on Games part, because not honouring it over a week later is poor form
