Since when did game change their price beat policy ?

In order to qualify, show us proof of the ad or leaflet from the national retailer with the exact Product. If you already purchased the Product, provide us with your Game receipt of purchase and we'll make good on our Price Beat Promise.

Today when my wife went to game Bela Bela at Bela Mall she wanted to buy a kenwood mixer the price at game is R2200 but checkers has the exact same one for R1700 but they refused to keep to the price beat policy. The Store Manager says that head office said the policy changed it only applies to televisions and fridges and 2 floor managers confirmed this. So did the policy change or was it just once again bad service?
