Game playing dirty game

Bought a magneto lamp. After 8 months the lamp dims right after being switched on. Game insist on taking in in for 3 weeks to have it checked out while I will be left without light. Unacceptable. Guarentee in place. No Ts and Cs given at time of purchase. I need ot replaced not investigated.
