Game Pavilion -- an unpleasant shopping experience
At Game, Pavilion, this morning. I found a toaster marked R349 which rang up as R429. I queried the price, and retrieved the display toaster with the price tag. The first 'manager' seemed lost; she sauntered off to find another manager. Mervyn Kristensamy went back and forth, initially claiming a different bar-code and then that the price tag referred to the black toasters, even though the display toaster was white, identical to the one I had chosen. He agreed that I should be charged the price on display... but had to find another manager for approval. By this stage I had had enough and told Mr Kristensamy that a pleasant morning had turned into an 'unpleasant shopping experience', and I would rather purchase the toaster elsewhere, even at a higher price.
