Game Online

I ordered online some products on the 11th Feb, and received an sms on the 13th stating that the items are out for delivery. Later that afternoon received correspondence stating that the items cannot be delivered. No further explanation given as to why. The next day I had to phone to enquire about this issue. The lady couldn’t provide any further details so she then contacted their courier company who also didn’t provide a clear explanation either. Thus she has to escalate this to another department handling online delivery issues.

I cannot fathom why it is so hard from a logistical point of view to deliver items successfully to customers. If something cannot be delivered, CONTACT THE CUSTOMER, to discuss and come up with a way to resolve. Why is it that for most customers we are always the ones phoning up and chasing on items we ordered and payed for? This is a really poor business model. How do you expect to remain competitive amongst the existing online retailers as well as all the new ones joining the SA market (eg Shein, Temu and soon Amazon).

Get it done right first time, and if there are snags, contact the customer immediately to explain fully the situation and put in a plan to remedy that.

Its… not… that… hard
