Game not honouring warranty.
Last week, I approached Game Cresta regarding a Volkano bag that I purchased for my daughter in January. The bag is not even 4 months old. The handle is clearly defective, and the metal holder broke off. From the picture that Rorisang took, the handle had a metal-to-metal break. The cotton stitching is still intact where the metal piece joins. I raised this on Thursday and brought the bag for Rorisang to inspect before she advised that she’d send an email to Volkano Head Office to advise them of the defect. Rorisang called today to advise that Volkano rep**** and said they would not honour the warrantee as they claim it is physical damage. Volkano did not inspect the bag to come to such a conclusion and when I bought the bag, I bought it from Game (NOT VOLKANO). The bag has a clear defect, otherwise, the stitching would have been ripped as well if the damage occurred because of force. I am disappointed that Game has difficulty honouring a 1-year warrantee when the bag is not even 4 months old. If Game cannot honour a basic warrantee for a bag that is R1000, how will Game honour warrantees for bigger appliances that are more expensive. I truly thought that Game was reputable, but my latest experience leaves a bitter taste.
