GAME??? NO YOU ARE NOT!!!

On 3 September 2021 I purchased a gazebo for a trader in our informal vegetable market n Knysna.

This is a young man trying to eke out a living hawking vegetables. He was losing a lot f produce because of a lack of shade.

One month after purchasing the gazebo a number of the bolts holding the frame together popped out, causing the gazebo to collapse, tearing the canopy.

The owner of he gazebo took the item back to GAME, KNYSNA. There he was sent packing by the staff.

He asked me to accompany him as I had purchased the gazebo for him.

This I did. The gazebo was inspected and I was told that the manager would be out in two minutes to talk to me. ONE AND A HALF HOURS later, NO MANAGER!!!!

On enquiring as to where he was I was flippantly told "Oh he has gone home". We will see if we can find someone else to help you.

Eventually a sales manager appeared and informed us that the gazebo would not be replaced as all items sold by GAME was for domestic use and not for trade use!!

So if this item had been on my pavement, it would have been replaced. But because it was on a pavement n an informal market, shielding some produce from the sun, it would not be replaced!!! REALLY GAME, REALLY????

A neighbour informed me that she had purchased a gazebo from GAME which was also faulty. She uses the gazebo at a market in Knysna. GAME replaced the gazebo without a quibble!!!

But then I suppose she was not a Rasta with dreads!!!

SHAME ON GAME???
