Game Makhado

Good afternoon,

I am writing to you regarding the customer service at the Louis Trichardt (Makhado) branch in Limpopo.

I purchased an electronic device, paid for it at the till, which took about 5 mins and then proceeded to wait for 30mins for an employee to collect it from the stock in the warehouse.

Firstly, there was no employee that assisted us by the door to the warehouse where there were at least 4 Game employees. One was behind the desk, manning the phone, two others were chatting to him and the fourth employee was standing there. We approached them and asked if someone could assist us in collecting our purchase.

He proceeded to call "someone" who would help us. That in itself took about 10 minutes, during which we asked him again if the person he called was coming. No one came so we asked him again, if one of the other 2 employees, who were standing a couple of meters away, could help us. He told us to ask them ourselves.

So my colleague went and asked one of the, now 6 Game employees around us, to get the item from stock. This took 20 minutes.

The store was not busy at all. There were so many employees walking around (though I do understand if not all of them are fami**** with stock/allowed to enter the warehouse) that essentially ignored us. What is worse is that there were numerous people going in and out of the warehouse.

We were surprised at the customer service, especially since we use Game all the time for purchasing items. This was utterly disappointing as someone who had bought something from Game.

We tried to explain to a senior staff member what happened, but he seemed disinterested.

For such a big company it is a surprise that this is the standard.
