Game Ladysmith doesn't value customers!!
I want to express my disappointment in Game Ladysmith. I have a Hisense 50" TV that's been going blank/freezing while watching (no one really watches SABC anymore, so obviously while watching Netflix and YouTube), whereby I would then need to put the main switch off and back on for it to work again, which is not normal and something the TV never did before. This started happening at the beginning of the year, but only once a month so I wasn't entirely sure if it was a serious issue until after mid-March, when it started doing it once a week and sometimes 2 - 3 times a week.
I took my TV to the store on the 07-04-2025, they booked it in and told me about the 21 working days that I would have to wait of which I had no problem with. After NO FEEDBACK from them, I went there on the 11-05-2025 to enquire about the TV, I was told by the lady that the TV had been checked by an in store technician on the 07-05-2025 and he found that there was NOTHING wrong with the TV. I brought the TV back home and the very next day it went blank and froze while watching. I then received a call from someone at Hisense on the 14-05-2025 who told me he would be coming to collect the TV the next day (15-05-2025) as the initial complaint had only been logged on their side at that time. Really strange because Game policy states that the item will be sent to the manufacturer during the 21 working days and not checked by an in store technician!!! At this time, we had to wait a further 10 working days till the guy from Hisense brought the TV back. I was told that the problem was the powerboard which was replaced and that I shouldn't have any issues going forward.
To my surprise, the very SAME NIGHT it went blank/froze. I sent an email to customer care and was told that an item needs to go in for repairs 3 TIMES before a credit can be passed. WOW!! Since when? Clearly the correct process was not followed here and this is just an inconvenience to me as a customer.
I have video footage supporting my claims which I took to Game on the 29-05-2025, spoke to the manager and showed him the video footage. He told me that it was possible that it was my network and wanted to keep the TV in store for a few days (seriously, how long do they expect me to allow for my TV to be "tested" by everyone in their own way based on their theories???), but I explained to them that my kids have a 32" Hisense TV connected to the same network and we have no issues with it. I was then told that they would get back to me the following week, but they haven't till now. The store has done absolutely NOTHING to assist me, in fact I sent an email on the 06-06-2025 requesting feedback and a way forward, it was just ignored. I had to call Hisense myself and log a complaint. So now my TV must go for the 3rd time and what happens if it's not repaired this time???
According to the Game return and refund policy, it clearly states that if the item cannot be repaired in the 21 working days, Game will issue a refund or replacement.
Why wasn't the TV sent to the manufacturer the first time I left it there???? The manufacturer took it the 2nd time around, they "fixed" what they assumed was the issue. Now for the 3rd time the TV will be opened and it's my final year for the warranty (opened for 1 complaint/fault because people are *********** and cannot do their jobs properly). Is this fair???
In all my years of shopping at Game, never have I ever had such an unpleasant experience. It's probably the ******** staff who lack basic training and skills!!
Is this how Game values their customers now?? Instead of finding solutions, y'all create problems!!
Best regards,
