GAME has no GAME.

I have recently been struggling to get the Addis 6 drawer storage unit at Game The Bridge in Port Elizabeth.

Firstly, when I went there in December 2016, after it had been advertised for R499 they did not have stock, so I tried the Baywest store. To my dismay there wasnt any stock either.

Two weeks later, still being advertised, I went back to the store at the Bridge and was told that there's no stock. So I tried the next best thing. Call the Head Office. I spoke to a buyer and she asked if I had a call back. I didnt even know they offered call backs on stock that wasnt available in store at that time, and that I could get it at the price advertised when it arrived. After explaining to her that I was not offered any call back, and that I have been at the stores twice, and couldnt find the advertised units, she offered to let the store at the Bridge know that I have ordered 2 of the units.

After a few days, I received a sms stating that I could collect the units at Game The Bridge. That was Friday, I couldnt make it there though, and decided to collect Sunday, as I have 30 days in which to collect.

Get there Sunday, I enquire at "Customer Care", yes inverted commas because the care I got was mindblowing to say the least. I am told by the lady at customer care to check if the stock that I got a call back for, was on the floor. Well that to me was weird as it should have been kept aside, nevertheless I go to the isle and discover there's no stock. Well at this point I am a bit disappointed and someone from the storeroom is called to track the parcel. It was according to him, never delivered.

Wednesday I called the store and spoke to a guy named André, he promised to keep the two units in his office as soon as they arrive, until I would be able to collect them. A week later i receive a call from André informing me that the stock has arrived and that he will keep the 2 units I require in his office. A few days later, when I was able to collect the items, I called beforehand to make sure that everything was on track. I was directed to the Manager, Mr. V Singh. After explaining to him what I needed, he informed me that there were no stock. I then explained that this was a call back and that the units were kept aside for me by André, Mr. Singh informed me that he did not know anyone named André. At this point was quite upset but kept a cool head, as Mr. Singh promised to personally see to it that my units were locked in his office. Within a few days I recived a sms to contact Mr. Singh as the units have arrived. That was Sunday, I rang Mr. Singh Monday, no answer. Tuesday, no answer. Tried switchboard, I'm informed that Mr. Singh wasn't there. Wednesday, the 15th February 2017 I got a hold of Mr. Singh, that by that time told me that he only had ONE unit in his office for me, and one on display. I decided to get the two as I was assured by Mr. Singh that the unit on display was opned that same morning. When I got to the store however, I saw that it wasn't the case, I asked Mr. Singh what happened to the ones he had promised to keep in his office. He told me the ONE is in his his office. I the told Mr. Singh, that he made a promise to me, that of the 3 units that the would have received, 2 would have been set aside for me. After an hour of waiting for the units to be tracked, Mr. Singh appeared with André, the guy he didnt know. André "apparently" had "one" unit in his office too.

After venting some I decided to take the units, as I was in need of them. They were at that point R550, but I paid R499 for them.

The irony is that not one of Game's so called Managers, after making so many promises to me, had both my units in their offices. And for the lady at customer care to send me to go look for items that have been ordered really says a lot.

Best regards,
Well as expected i have had no contact from Senior Management. I mean what did I expect from them when, I expected a call from them when I first complained about this matter telephonically.
I pose a question to the Management. If customer care or service delivery is this bad from top office, what are we expect from the rest?
