Game Empangeni

I am very disappointed in Game stores. I purchased a JVC 58" tv at game Ballito on Saturday the 29th of August 2020. We were visiting family in Ballito for the weekend and thought as we are there we might as well purchase a tv there as Empangeni where we reside doesn't have such big variety. Anyhow we got the tv we wanted and made the purchase. We took great care in transporting our new investment back to empangeni which is only 100km away back to our home town on the Sunday. We got home and carefully un boxed the tv and as we switched it on the right hand side of the screen showed coloured lines. We immediately switched the TV off and boxed it up carefully and took it back to game empangeni. Arriving at game empangeni, my husband spoke to one of the salesman's there and told him what happend. The salesman immediately told my husband that he broke the tv and will be liable to pay for the repairs. Well what can I say...what a totally unprofessional way to to talk to your customer the public. As far as i know there is absolutely no way you as a salesman are even allowed to say that to a customer. How on earth can a salesman immediately accuse my husband of breaking the tv without a professional technician diagnosing first. I mean this is a brand new tv which we paid a lot of money for, we are adults with adult children that has their own career. We are not going to break a tv we just paid a lot of money for and we take great care of our possessions. Who the hell does this guy think he is telling my husband he broke the tv....there is absolutely no physical damage to the tv and then he tells my husband that he broke the back screen. I must say that I need a new fridge as well but there is absolutely no way where I am going to make another purchase at game again very soon. I will rather go and purchase my fridge at Makro. Well needless to say that I spent R6000.00 on a new tv and has nothing to show for it. I am just disappointed because we took the tv back immediately and we did not get another tv and we were told that it had to go for repairs and we must pay the damage. Game Empangeni will never see a dime of my money ever again. I always get bad experiences at Game empangeni. Well I will just have to wait and see what is going to happen with our tv now. I will keep all updated. Thanks for the listen. Regards Mrs Davel. ***
