Game - Bad Service And Failure To Honor 5 Year Guarantee - Sinotec 50" FHD TV

I bought a Sinotec 50" FHD TV from Game in April 2014 as I had already had a 46" version for a few years which has had no issues. Unfortunately the TV developed dead pixels, so I took it into Game on the 28th of November 2016 to have it assessed and it was agreed that it would have to be sent for repairs. I understood, as per their policy on the wall, that it could take up to three weeks and if it wasn't repaired I would get a replacement or refund. I had no worries as either way I would be getting a Sinotec as a replacement or if I recieved a refund I would have just bought another Sinotec.

However after two weeks on the 12th of December at 17:50 I received a call where I was told bluntly that the TV was uneconomical to repair and there was now an internal crack in the screen. I was also told that I would not receive a replacement under the 5 year guarantee nor would I be refunded. I was, understandably, not happy about this and made efforts to escalate the matter. I was able to get the details for Noel Kabinde who is the reginal manager for Game. Thus far there has been a back-and-forth between myself, Game and Sinotec for over a week yet no resolution. I appreciate the efforts on Game's part but it doesn't explain why it has been such an uphill struggle to replace a TV which has a 5 year guarantee.

I spoke to Elizma, Justice and Noel. The decision was taken to refund me as per Game policy and the Sinote guarantee. Thank you
