Game and Laptops

Game Kolonade and laptops

Over 2 months ago I wrote a review about a laptop I bought from Game Kolonade, the review was actually about the make of the laptop “ZED AIR CX3 – CORE i3” and I actually mentioned Game, without “pointing fingers”. Anyway, the next day after submitting the review on Hellopeter about the inferior laptop and specifically the inferior casing that started cracking by itself and making electrical shorts, Game phoned me. So, today’s review is about Game:

The Sales Manager at Game said I must bring the laptop back to Game and they will send it to I-Life Technologies, for assessment, but they will probably refund me. So, the returns Department at Game re-opened during the first week of June. So; I handed in the laptop at Game and the laptop has been there for 3 weeks already. The lady at the returns department said that it will take a maximum of 3 weeks, for I-Life Technologies; to give an answer or to assess it; but I-Life Technologies are normally quick to respond. In the meantime, I urgently needed a laptop to keep earning an income, so at least I was able to buy a good secondhand laptop from Cash Crusaders, that I am still using. I also had to buy a new Office package for the secondhand computer and a power supply. So, I had to spend basically the same amount that I have originally paid for the laptop at Game, just to keep working and earning an income.

I want to advice people to do extensive research about laptops and computers and specifically the type or guarantees before buying them (the ZED AIR CX3 from I-Life Technologies for example only provides a “limited warranty”).

I will from now on only buy laptops from computer shops and nowhere else.

Hi Mari,

Thank you for reaching out.

I'm sorry that your laptop stopped functioning due to the casing cracking and had to be assessed by the supplier before further action can be taken.

While an item is within the manufacturers warranty, this is a requirement for them to determine whether it is a factory fault.

Your feedback will be sent to the stores buyers and is appreciated. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards
