Formal Complaint Regarding Game Somerset West

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at Game Somerset West. My experience leads me to believe that the store is not adhering to its mission statement and values.

On 01 in early April, I purchased a stove unit for my mother-in-law. I was not offered delivery, and was sold a demonstration unit without being informed of its status.

Subsequently, I posted several reviews on social media platforms regarding this experience. When contacted by the store, the representative's response to my complaint included defending the sales agent involved and implying that my account was inaccurate.

I find that the principles of equality are not being upheld at Game Somerset West, particularly in light of South Africa's history and consumer protection legislation.

As of today, I am still awaiting the exchange of the old unit and the delivery of the new stove unit, as promised by the store representative who contacted me. Additionally, the R300 compensation offered does not seem to adequately address the inconvenience and damages incurred. I also wish to receive a detailed explanation as to how this amount was calculated.

This is the second instance in which I have been sold a demonstration unit by this store without prior notification.
