Fed up with ***** at Game

A month ago my husband and I decided to use his Game card (after not using it for a long time) to stock up on some store cupboard groceries. Bought, card swiped, left the store. My husband got a message on his phone to say the card had been used. All good. The next day he got a message in the middle of the day to say that the card had been used in Cape Town (we are in Port Elizabeth) for over R8000. After lots of phone calls several days of stress and 2 hours in the Baywest Game store with the very helpful lady at customer services he found out that the ********** user had used the card at Baby Boom, been caught and the amount reversed and as the card was compromised it was now blocked. Paperwork was submitted and a new card issued. Within a few days again another amount was charged to the supposedly blocked card and again not by us. My husband spent a long time on the phone again to try and sort this out and this has yet to be resolved. Yesterday we tried to buy some items again with the new card only to have it declined at the counter. We went to customer service that happened to have the same lovely lady there that remembered my husband from last time and after she phoned head office and passed the phone over we were told it hadn't been activated yet despite all the relevant documentation having been sent. We had to leave the store without the shopping. How is it possible for people to buy so freely without having the card with them in ********** transactions yet we can't use the card ourselves when it belongs to us, and how is it that it only happened after we had used the card for the first time in years. Somewhere in Game their is a huge security breach and we have been inconvenienced and embarrassed over and over through no fault of our own. We are more than furious at this stage.

Still heard nothing from Game or RCS. *****ing from our accounts and a huge breach of security is clearly not a serious enough issue for them.

Still heard nothing other than an email asking for our account number, then nothing further. No messages left if we didn't answer a call. No emails, nothing. They have now started taken a debit order for the full amount owed including the ********** purchases. So we are paying for someone elses ********** purchase. We will be escalating this.
