Faulty Bicycle

I bought a bicycle for my son on the 18th of March 2026,on Sunday the 29th I saw that the bicycle is faulty.Then I looked for the receipt and I couldn’t find it.I then called game Bela Bela to ask if they will be able to assist me even if I don’t have my receipt.The response was can you please let us know what is wrong with the bicycle,so that we can tell you if we will be able to assist or not so that you don’t bring the bicycle over for nothing.I was not home so I had to call them so that they can explain to me what was wrong with the bicycle then I called the store back.The lady on the other line who’s name is Kelebogile said to me I can bring back the bicycle for assessment.i called home to ask if someone can please take the bicycle to game,then She later called me back to ask when did I buy the bicycle I told Her on the 18th and She said unfortunately we cannot assist you because it’s over two weeks.Had you returned it within 7 days then we would have had a look at it.But they can bring it in for assessment and you can pay for it.I then refused and said I won’t be paying for anything because no one told me or explained to me about the 7 days policy.I have items that I bought at game whereby it was explained to me on purchase as to how long the return policy is.I also asked or is this information on the receipt then She said she is not sure.I asked for the manager she said I must hold for the manager then later came back and said it’s fine you can bring the bicycle.Tell me why when we returned the bicycle we are asked for a receipt and later told that they can’t take it in without the receipt.She calls me to explain this and I told her that I did mention to her that I lost my receipt.She then said that She will call me back..Then told the person that I send to the shop that unfortunately they can’t take the bicycle because there’s no receipt.

On their return policy on the website it says alternative proof : You can ask the store to look up your purchase on their system using the date and time of the transaction to reprint the receipt.
