False advertising of features
Good Day,

I am very, very unimpressed with Game Stores.

8 months ago I purchases a generator through Game Clearwater. The unit was used about 10 times in the past 8 months (courtesy of loadshedding).

3 weeks ago the unit stopped working (much to my chagrin) and was taken into the store as it was still under warranty. While I was not too impressed by the 21 working days turnaround time, I accepted it and sent it off for repairs.

I have just been contacted by Game advising me that should I wish the unit to be repaired it will cost me R2,400! This for a unit under warranty!

Apparently the unit was overloaded and it burnt out. This makes little sense as the unit is advertised as having an overload protection switch. To clarify, this means that the unit has a breaker to protect it from overloading.

That was part of the reason I bought that unit in the first place as opposed to an inverter!

Does Game really expect me to pay for repairs when the unit did not deliver as advertised?????
