Failure to close my paid off account

I paid R2000 as monthly payment , few days later I paid R28 253.41 . I called and asked my account to be closed and was told il need to pay an additional R380 to close the account and that once its R00 then it wil be closed . I made the payment of R380 and asked the account to be closed was asked to send proof of payments which I did and was told need to be refunded some money then close it . Still nothing has been closed . RSC did the same with my Payifoff when was trying to close it . My fear that il be told to pay interest coz they took long to close the account . Can my account please be closed .
