EMPTY PROMISE POOR SERVICE

I bought a fridge at Game in Alberton and the salesman PROMISED over and over again that it would be delivered on the same day. I paid and went home, waiting for the fridge. The weather was scorching hot and i had no fridge ALL DAY. The next day, after 11am i phoned Game and they blamed the courier saying that they were delayed. I waited for the fridge to arrive and then confronted the couriers. They said that it was not their fault as the store only placed the order that morning. I then called the store again and was told that they're "sorry". I was FUMING with anger and called the manager, Kavesh. He then told me that it was the warehouse (courier) that was at fault because their systems were down the day before and they failed to notify the store, and the store was then unable to notify customers. I told Kavesh that its bad business, you cant make empty promises and then play a blame game and pass the buck whilst I (the customer) was adversely affected. As a result, all of the contents that were supposed to be refridgerated had spoiled, including my baby's antibiotic medication. All they did was blame others. *********** salespeople and poor business s****s.

Thank you for your response, however I think you ought to realise that aside from being **** to and having an overall unpleasant experience, the entire incident has costed me dearly. Inflation and the cost of food and medication is high, what angers me most is that I now have incurred the additional expense of having to replace all spoiled food items AND go back to a doctor just to get another antibiotic prescription (because antibiotics are not sold over the counter) and replace the antibiotic...all because of misrepresentation (lies about delivery). I hope you now fully understand why this is so frustrating, no one should go through what I experienced

Thank you, Andre- sales manager at Game Alberton, for promising to reimberse the delivery charge. Thank you Hello Peter. It's unfortunate that it's a case of 'gone are the days...' when the customer was regarded King (generally) and treated suitably, it's even more unfortunate that so many consumers have to resort to social media platforms to raise their concerns/problems because they fall upon deaf ears at the very businesses/companies that depend on said customers to keep their profits flowing in. I sincerely hope that as promised, Game looks into the problem with their courier/delivery services and strives to improve communication with consumers. Furthermore, I hope that no one else ever has to experience what I had again.
