****ed off

About 8 months ago I got a call from Game's credit department telling me I owed them money which i could not recall as i had not utilized the account in years. I however asked the consultant what the settlement amount was and i settled it as I didn't have the time to follow-up on this as well as sitting on hold for hours trying to resolve this. After paying this I still received calls and SMS's asking me to settle the outstanding amount. I then ended up dealing with a third party collections agency who told me that i had been handed over (for what exactly?!). I then ended up on the XDS credit bureau's adverse debt list which counts against my name now due to some clown's negligence. ***????!!!! seriously?!
