Driver lost my package and no one is able to locate it and now no one is giving me straight answers

I ordered formula milk and purity porridge from game online with the last money I had thinking I was making a good investment next thing the driver arrives at my house and tells me that my package is lost that he would come back the next day at delivery my package, to my surprise I find that the driver wrote that he came to deliver the package and I was not here, so I started with complaining at the courier before going back to game store and both have resulted in no real response, the courier said they asked the driver where my package is since it cannot be located and he has not responded only to find that the same thing is happening at game no one can locate where my package is but seemingly I'm the one suffering because I have had to use my money to go buy the same products I've been waiting to have delivered because I have a baby to feed, they don't seem to be bothered with the sense of urgency because they keep telling me they have escalated the matter I was have been emailing both companies from the 29th of May we're at the 2nd of June and I still have not received my package or my money back. I want to understand if the driver lost or stole my package why am I the customer suffering
