Don't take out a cellphone contract through Game - you might just regret it!

I went to Game to open up a cell phone contract. This was a big mistake. I first tried to do so at Watercrest Mall, whose sole cellphone contracts employee has been sick for two months and as a result no one on the floor is able to process a cell phone contract on site - which is really poor service on behalf of a national retailer. In spite of this Marlin, the manager, did try his best to assist me where he was able.

I next tried Game in Ballito, whose service was truly terrible. The management had a bad attitude and even though there was a staff present on site the the cellphone contracts employee, I think her name was slindile was pleasant, they were still unable to help me as she advised that they had not yet received the latest contract deals available (despite the fact that this was now the 8th Nov, and the Watercrest store had received the latest deals the previous day from a lady by the name of Roshel Govender). I am surprised at how poorly this store is run. From when I walked in the store I had a poor impression of it, as the Management and some ***orkers were "goofing around" near the entrance and too busy to see that I needed assistance. I literally had to raise my voice to get their attention.

I am also dismayed at the fact that I cannot get a Vodacom business cellphone contract through Game. I was told that I need a CK document to do so, but yet, at the vodacom store, as a sole proprietor, all I need to do to get a business contract is product 3 month bank statements, my ID, a proof of business bank acc from the bank, and a letter on a company letter head.

I wanted to get the new vodacom business deal with the nokia phone and R4000 gift voucher for R599 per month from Game, but because of their difficult processes I now cannot do that either. I doesnt make sense how Game's entry criteria into a business contract with vodacom is more stringent than a vodacom store's criteria!!!

I will never attempt any further contracts through Game again.
