Don't shop at Game
I bought a 43cc Ryobi brush cutter from Game Pavilion. The machine struggled to start and would stall shortly after starting. It did this from the day the machine was unboxed. I took the machine back to Game within 2 weeks and asked for a refund. They refused to offer me a refund, saying that the machine must be assessed to determine if it's a factory fault. The machine was sent to Stevens & Co for an assessment. The company blamed me for the problem, stating that "We serviced the carburettor and spark plug caused by incorrect fuel mix." Stevens & Co are blatant ***** with no proper ethics . I'm a mechanical engineer by profession, I have my BScEng, MscEng and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering. There was no way that I filled an incorrect 2-stroke fuel mix into the machine. The fault was the installed setting of the carburetor by the manufacturer. Game followed the ********* report from Stevens & Co, and refused my refund. I find it extremely annoying that they choose to blame me, the customer, simply to cheat me out of my ability to ask for a refund on the product. To everyone out there, do not waste your time buying Ryobi products and don't waste your time shopping at Game. Their guarantees are backed up by an ********* companies like Stevens & Co who will simply blame you for their product defects and cheat you out of getting a refund. It's your word against theirs at the end of the day and they will lie to make it your fault!!!
