Do not buy here – no service or accountability

Poor service, faulty product, unprofessional management, no help, long wait.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Game Worcester (Mountain Mill Mall). I purchased a Bennett Read 11.5L Digital Airfryer there in December 2025, and it stopped working on 27 March 2026 – less than four months later.
Upon arriving at the store, the first Tevo sales representative attempted to explain the process to me, but it was so unclear that I could not understand him at all. I then asked to speak to a manager.
The sales manager was also unhelpful and, instead of handling the situation himself, simply referred me to a second Tevo sales representative. When he called the second representative to assist me, he sarcastically remarked, “she doesn’t have the box,” even though I did have my receipt. This comment was unprofessional and unnecessary.
When I requested a replacement or refund, I was informed that it is supposedly a Tevo product and that they have their own policies. This is unacceptable, as I purchased the product from Game and there was no clear indication on my receipt that it is handled by a third party.
When I asked where these terms and conditions are stated, the manager said it is in the user manual. This is incorrect. Nowhere in the user guide does it clearly state that this is a Tevo product with separate policies. On the final page, it only says “brought to you by Tevo,” which is vague and does not explain what that means in terms of warranties, refunds, or replacements.
On top of that, I am now expected to wait up to a month while the product is sent away, which is extremely inconvenient.
I expected much better customer service and accountability from a well-known retailer like Game. This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, and I would not confidently shop at Game Worcester (Mountain Mill Mall) again.

Good day, it has now been a week since I reported the faulty Bennett Read air fryer and logged a complaint.
While I appreciate head office contacting me, I have received no direct feedback or resolution from the store itself. This delay is unacceptable
this serves as my final notice regarding the faulty Bennett Read air fryer purchased in December 2025.
In terms of the Consumer Protection Act, I am within my 6-month warranty period and I am entitled to choose a refund. I have clearly stated that I do not want a repair or replacement.
If I do not receive confirmation of my refund within 48 hours, I will escalate this matter to the National Consumer Commission without further notice.

I expect urgent resolution.

Hi Rozaan, Thank you for taking my call. I understand your disappointment and vexation with the situation. Within 6 (six) months from purchase, the Game policy is:After the request is processed, the product will be assessed either in store or at the supplier/customer’s premises, based on the fault and what item it is.

“I have not received any feedback regarding my air fryer that was sent away for assessment. It has now been 17 days, and I am still waiting for an update from the store. I would appreciate urgent feedback on the status of my item, as well as a clear time frame for resolution. At this stage, I would prefer a refund due to the delay and lack of communication.”

CPA Complaint: Refund Request Within 6-Month Warranty.

Furthermore, I was informed that the issue was caused by a fuse failure on the circuit. A fuse failure within such a short period clearly indicates an internal defect and raises serious concerns about the reliability and quality of the product.
I was informed it needs to fail three times, but that is not in line with the Consumer Protection Act. I am entitled to choose a refund.

Hi Rozaan, Thank you for coming back to us. The warranty on repairs within 6 (six) months from purchase, the Game policy is:After the request is processed, the product will be assessed either in store or at the supplier/customer’s premises, and based on the fault, Game will process a repair, replacement or refund of your product. Products that are under warranty or that are found to be materially defective and are returned within 6 (six) months from the date of purchase/delivery for repairs carry an additional 3 (three) months guarantee on all repair work. I am extremely disappointed that this matter is still not resolved.
Game has responded by referring to their internal policy, stating that they can decide whether to repair, replace, or refund the product. However, this is not in line with the Consumer Protection Act, which clearly states that the consumer has the right to choose the remedy within the 6-month warranty period.
I have clearly stated that I do not accept a repair and that I am requesting a refund. The product failed within less than 4 months due to an internal electrical fault (fuse failure), which raises serious concerns about its reliability.
I am now being forced into accepting a repair, which I do not agree with. Store policy cannot override consumer law.
If this matter is not resolved with a refund urgently, I will escalate it to the National Consumer Commission.

I would like to point out the inconsistency in how this matter has been handled.Initially, I was informed in store that this is a Tevo product and that Game could not assist me, as it falls under Tevo’s terms and conditions. However, I am now being told that Game has made the decision to proceed with a repair. This inconsistency is confusing and unfair, as I purchased the product from Game and expected clear accountability from the start.

Thank you for escalating my query further.

I would like to reiterate that I do not accept a repair and that I am requesting a refund, as the product failed within a short period and is still within the warranty period.

I look forward to feedback from management and trust that this matter will now be resolved fairly and promptly
