Dishonest Advertising & Unkept Promises

It is so ironic that the retailers get away time and time again. Last year in October, I went to Game to purchase a house phone unfortunately it was out of stock so I request a rain check, i completed details received a sms with the details. It is now mid March 2019 almost 5 months later, I have received 3 sms saying the store will advise when the device is available - still nothing last sms in Dec 2018. Yesterday, I was looking for a gazebo, I found a Discovery 3m x 6m at Game for R1599. It was good value for money considering the 3x3 is so weak. I called the CS to find out where in KZN can I purchase it, i was told Gateway, i called Gateway they said they have the same dimension, same brand but it is R1999 - it is new stock. It is this even ethical? I called the CS back to get clarity and the lady called the store and told me that the Store Manager said that it is the new price. Why do we allow these people to be so vindictive and ********* to us. The item is still online at that price but the store is refusing to give it to me at the price advertised. We have rights as consumers and this treatment is not acceptable. I would appreciate if the retailer can give me the gazebo at the advertised price and also give me the phone I am waiting for since the past 5 months.
