DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE
Good Day
I hope this e-mail finds you in good health and spirits. I am a very disgusted customer at the service me and my wife have received from Game and I hope I am not wasting my time by writing to you.
On the 26 of March we went to Game Bayside Mall (Parklands, Cape Town) and placed a +-R1500 Laybuy on a Defy front loader (7kg) washing machine.
On the 1st of May we then traveled and went back to Game Bayside Mall with the intention to pay off our item and take it home but to our shock the store no longer existed.
It was mid morning and the store was completely closed and it seemed they have moved or shut down. No communication was relayed to us as to what is happening and what we therefore had to do in such an inconveniencing occurrence. We drove all the way from Khayelitsha (45minute drive).
My wife then took it upon herself to called Game customer care and they said that items from Bayside Mall would be moved to Canal Walk. We proceeded to commute to Canal Walk to enquire about our washing machine. At Canal Walk we paid R3000 at the customerservice desk and were told to come back on Monday to make a final payment.
Monday we commuted to Canal Walk -again- with intention to pay off the remaining balance but we were this time told by a manager that the machine hasn't been transferred yet from Bayside Mall and that we should come back on the Wednesday. On the Wednesday we again drove to the store. Only this time nobody (the ladies at the front desk) knew anything about the machine being moved from Bayside to Canal Walk.
A week went by with me and my wife having to drive back and forth insisting that we paid for a washing machine but we are getting the run around regarding receiving it.
On the following Monday 10th May we were at the store again, with no washing machine and a Manager (Stephanie) listened to our grievance and assured us that we should make a final payment and the item would be delivered on Wednesday the 12th. We paid the remaining R1500 plus R260 for delivery and went home with a promise of a Wednesday delivery.
As I am writing this e-mail it is Wednesday 12 May at 19:30 and we still do not have a washing machine that we paid for as it was not delivered and no reason was given. When we called Game Canal Walk and asked for Stephanie (as she was the manager assiting us) we were told she had gone home.
A gentleman by the name of Jayced (pardon my spelling) answered the phone when we called to enquire the non delivery and he was very helpful in informing us that the machine we are being made to wait for is actaully damaged and he will try to remedy the situation.
This is realy horrible service and an absolute disregard for customers time and all the money we spent on traveling and calling. Game is a big store and I wish other customers do not go through this terrible service that we are going through. I am so disgusted by this.
