Defective Laptops-Game Stores

I bought a laptop on 31 December 2021. One day in my as I was using it, it just switched off. I took it to the store on 28 April and more than a month later (now 8 June 2021) no one can tell me if it is repairable or when I can expect to get it back. I have been to the store twice to ask for feedback and get promised a call that never happens. I was there on Sunday 6 June and promised a call on 7 June, which ofcourse never happened!! Why such bad customer service from a nationally recognized and trusted company? I am really disappointed and regret this purchase. I cannot do any of my work!! I have seen posts similar to mine here and feel like I probably will never get my laptop functioning but can someone ayleast tell me SOMETHING??
