Customer service zero

I bought a kettle in April. Beginning of October the lid/clip broke. I wanted to open the lid to pour water in and the lid jumped off and fell on the tiles. The small lid has 3 sections. I tried boiling the kettle without the lid but it does not switch off with the lid off. I found it boiling more than once and decided to glue the lid on, for the meantime. I work till late and weekends, we also could not find the slip at the time the kettle broke. I was off this weekend, and my wife found the slip on wednesday. I took the kettle back and game refuses to change it or give my money back. I asked to speak to the manager, but he could not see me because he was busy at receiving. I asked the ladies, for how long he would be busy and they did not know. Darryn the manager, obviously does not really care about aftersale service. They said because i tried to fix it, sunbeam would not change it for me. I just put a bit of glue around the lids edges to keep it shut while boiling. This is really bad service and the 3 ladies present, dont have any communication s****s. They cant smile and it looks like they enjoy giving people bad news. Always issues with game store products. Always excuses to change peoples products under garantee. Its either the slip, box or something else as excuse why an exchange can not be done. This will be the last time i purchase anything from game, and this was really only a R280 item. God help if you bought something expensive from them. Rgds David
