Customer ***** on Defective Goods
I bought a hand set (Nokia 2) in Dec 22/12/2017 and 2 days after the purchase that phone already had problems of re starting while busy on the phone, however I did not worry about it as I thought it was a security feature or something I had to fix in the settings.
On the 14th of Jan 2018 in the morning my phone had a temperature that was un usual, but then again I ignored because it was warm outside. By the evening the phone was dead just switched off!!! No warnings nothing…
I put the phone on charge the whole night and still the morning of the 15th Jan 2018 it did not switch on at all.
I then made my way to Game store in Mitchell’s Plain...I now need to know how long this process will be as I did not even have this phone for a month and it was broken!
Upon arrival no one explained to me anything and I did not even have the opportunity to even state my requirements as a customer. They just booked in my phone for repairs and said I have to wait for 21 days for a reply.
I have just spoken to the Office of the Consumer Protector and I have been informed that due the fact that this phone did not even work for a max 30 days it is classified as "defective". I as a consumer should have been given the right to choose whether I want the phone fixed, replaced or refunded.
Game is labeled a ********* of a company!!! They have taken my money and I can even get through to the call center for answers. The store is running a ****** business and they cant even answer a simple question pertaining to my query.
