Credit limited automatically increased without consent ?

Around the month of August I requested my credit limited to be adjusted from R10 000 to R4 000, which was done correctly. This month I received my statement and my credit limit has been adjusted to R4 500 without me requesting this ? Is this even allowed ? Can you please resolve this and decrease my limit back to R4 000 as I requested. Thanks!
