Complaint: Gift Voucher

Good day

I would like to make a enquiry with regards to a problem I am experiencing with Game Queenstown. I received a gift voucher valued at R500 as a present in February 2017 and used R100 from the gift voucher at Game Queenstown in March purchasing 3 children's books and the remainder of the credit left was R400.

I tried to use the same gift voucher at Game in East London and the card declined, the lady asked how much was on the voucher and I informed her of the amount. They called Head office on my behalf and were told that the voucher had been reported missing by Game Queenstown and was thus blocked. I have gone to Game Queenstown and informed them of this and and they also called and were given the same information of the missing card. They were also given details of who blocked it and the date.

I have never lost this gift voucher and not even once was it reported missing. I am now asked to bring slips I do not have and to contact the person that brought the gift voucher to ask for the slip. How do I as a customer who never called Game to report the voucher missing end up doing all the admin of a clear misconduct from a Game official? Why am I now at a position where I have to go up and done trying to reclaim an amount of R400 which seems clear that I will be loosing to Game by an error or misconduct by a person who works at Game? When I had given all the information at my disposal even mentioning that when I was buying these items the teller asked for my details eg full names, contact details and id numbers.

I would like to receive assistance on this matter and the steps I can take to fix things because it is rather upsetting and a huge inconvenience not to mention an embarrassment as I had to return items that I wanted to buy because of a card that declined.

Regards
Ms LIndokuhle Zintle Nxazonke

Best regards,
It has been two weeks already that I have submitted the complaint to Game Queenstown. How long should I wait? I am instead the one who has to loose alot of money making calls. I am now told the person that blocked the card does not work for Game Queenstown, logically when one is doing ***** they will never use their true identity.
