CAT AND MOUSE WITH PRICE BEAT

This is the second time I am writing a review about price beat authorisation within a period of 8 MONTHS.

I went to Game Mams mall yestereday (8/9/2019) to purchase the conventional oven as gift for a friend for her bridal shower. The convetional oven was R649 and on the shelf there was that adverti*****t that reads "So if you find it cheaper somewhere else, we'll not only match that price, we'll beat it by 10% on the difference" and I immediately went online and I saw that Makro was selling it R599.

I asked one lady (shop assistant) about authorisation on price beat and she blatantly said this game does not do price beats and she went to name a few other games as well, I even asked her how so because it is advertised in store and her response was "this shop is not an A -store but a mini store"

I just proceeded to the till and explianed to the cashier I want to do a price beat and she called "Matthews" who I assumed is the supervisor/manager.

Mathews came and said he needs to confirm I showed him the product from my phone and he still said he needs to confirm if makro has stock since it is procedure so he is gonna call them . I was shocked since it was the first time hearing that a confirmation from the store is needed and I don't which store he was gonna call.

He comes back 10 minutes later saying the store line is busy so I am going to wait another 15 minutes or so before he can actually call but by that time I already know that he is avoiding price beat based on my previous experience. I ended up buying at the advertised price beacuse I was in a rush

I know your gonna get your store manager to call and apologise but yet it is still continuing without anyone bearing the consequences. If this is how Game operates, then I am more than happy not shopping at Game. you can keep your price beat. You have people on the ground tarnishing your brand. DONT ADVERTISE THINGS YOU CAN'T DELIVER ON. I WANT MY REFUND
