I bought a Ryobi petrol brush cutter on the 01 March 2025. on the 19 May 2025 the brushes were no longer working. i them went to the store to take it back. i was informed that the repairs would take 21 working days. on the 24 June 2025 i went back to check as to what is happening and i was informed that it is no longer under warranty as such i need to pay R1100 for the repairs. this did make sense to me as i bought the machine for R2000 and it was pointless to pay that much for repairs. further to that i took it back within 6 months as per the consumer protection act and it was surprising why they said it is no longer under warranty. i received a call advising that i should collect the machine as it was not fixed. i feel that game is playing game as why would i collect something that is not working and why would i pay for something that is clearly their fault. i need a full refund and i doubt that i will ever buy anything from that store.
