Broken TV, not their responsibility

My Grandmother bought a 40 inch Sinotec TV from Game on Wednesday, April 1st (they got us good) 2015.

Wednesday being the day that pensioners can get discount. after paying and leaving the store with nobody checking the contents of the box... The first time we opened the box was on Saturday the 4th of April, as we plugged it in I saw that the screen was shattered (Not visible when the screen is off),
so we packed it up again and took it back to GAME on Sunday,
The manager took one look at it and his exact words to a pensioner was \Not our problem"then tried to walk away.

after an hour of arguing he said he would ask the suppliers about the issue and now we wait for some sort of response.

It is disgusting that Game vocally offers to take back faulty goods within 10 days and 4 days after our purchase we could not even get a respectful explanation"
