Broken goods

Around July 2014, I bought the lawnmower from Game Montana. the machine was bought cash. during the process of buying I did asked the sale person how to operate the machine. I forgot the name of the sale person. I did asked him how to operate the Machine and he told me to do the following-
To put petrol into the machine and mix it with g stroke( some substance for lubrication).
I must mix it with petrol. of which I did.
never mentioned anything about oil, he said the is Little bit of oil in it. and I can use it once. I followed his instructions and ignore the manual. while busy using the machine it broke down. I took the machine back to the Game and they referred the machine back to the supplier for inspection. now the told me that the machine has broken the engine because I used it without oils. and they charge me R2010 to fix it. the machine is still under the warranties and I acted according to the instruction of the sale persons. the machine cost me R4500. I refused to pay the require money and stated that the machine was still under warrantee and I acted according to the instruction of the sale person.
