Bad Service Ever

I don’t even know where to start in explain the terrible experience we received at Game Store in Liberty Promenade Mall yesterday. We arrived there at 13:48 yesterday 02/09/2016 to purchase a sleeping bag for our trip for which we were due to depart Cape Town airport yesterday at 16:10. We proceeded to the till points after we had decided which sleeping bag we wanted. That was priced R350 as advertised on the shelve. When the teller scanned the item at 15:05 a different price appeared which was R499, my fiancé informed her that was not the price advertised on the shelves and so she the teller asked one of the floor assistants to go check the price of the item. She returned telling her that yes all the sleeping bags were priced at R350 and she brought the barcode with her. The teller then called for the supervisor Melvina Stuurman who had an attitude as she came to assist us and said she will not fix this issue that is not her department and she cannot assist with a price difference more than R50. She then said she will call the floor assistant that works in that department to correct the error as it is not her fault or problem. As astonished as I was for such an attitude given by a superior who works in a customer facing environment, I kept calm and waited. After 30 minutes waiting by the teller with the supervisor making no effort what so ever to assist us, ignoring us as if we did not exist and packing items for other customers while our issue was still not resolved nor attended to. The teller then stood up leaving us for another 5 to call a person who works in the department in question. A person working in that department arrived after another 10 minutes waiting, his name was Jonathan, he could not assist us as well and called for the manager in total now we had been waiting being thrown from one person to the next and the initial supervisor Melvina Stuurman just cruising around not concerned our issue as it was not per problem as she said . After almost an hour waiting at this till point, a manager came we told her the story and she resolved the issue, by giving us the item for the priced that was advertised on the shelve. We had spent 50 minutes waiting on resolution when we could have been in and out within 10 to 15 minutes had be been assisted efficiently by Melvina Stuurman. We then left the 14:55 game store rushing to the airport. When we arrived at the airport check in had been closed already and so we missed our flight thanks to the inconsiderate supervisor Melvina Stuurman who refused to assist us. We have had to cancel our trip as the was no other booking we could get for yesterday nor for today Monday 03/08/2016. This trip had been planned for months for us to have to cancel has been such an inconvenience and costly that’s to the bad service from game. Needless to say I left the store extremely ****ed off as none of the game employees even bother to even apologise for all this inconvenience. Such service is not acceptable at all as for that supervisor, she needs training on how to treat customers. I have been a really loyal customer to game all my new house alliances, some of the furniture, exercising equipment and lots more items I have bought from game I even still have the necessary proof of all my purchases from game, but after this encounter I doubt that game will be my first choice shop any longer as this is not the first time I have experience bad service from game but this one takes the price.
