Bad return policy on hp laptop

I bought hp laptop...and now its cant even open simple word document...its very slow....i have been trying to arrange a return since the 9 decemeber (i received it on the 7th)

Now i brough it to game east rand mall...they saying its not am error and i cant get a refund...so now we sitting with a 13k brand new laptop which cant load apps
