Bad customer service for returns

I bought a bicycle on Sunday the 9th Feb 2026 for my daughter seeing it was her 8th birthday and she has been waiting for it. I immediately asked the staff to assemble it and she drove off riding it from the shop. We got home she was riding it the whole afternoon. The next day on Monday the 10th Feb 2026 she is riding it again and to her disappointment the pedal falls off, I'm shocked this can't be happening, I thought Raleigh was a reputable brand I mean we paid R1500 for this bicycle. I call my husband to come have a look and he says the threads where the pedal is worn out, it best we return it. I mean it it's only 2 days since we bought this bicycle. Ok so we couldn't go on Wednesday and went on Thursday the 12th Feb 2026. Unfortunately since I didn't even take the box coz it was assembled at the shop, somehow I misplaced the slip so luckily I paid by card so we went with the bank statement asked the Game manager to check the transaction and print out the slip so we can process the exchange. She refused telling us there is nothing she can do if we dnt have a slip. This is daylight *******, we have proof of payment and they can trace the transaction it's not like we wanted a refund, we always bought bicycles for all our kids from Game and took this as a factory fault maybe,but this sinister attitude from the manager makes me feel like they are out to cheat us as customers. Game at Vaal Mall let me down and if anyone is thinking of buying an appliance or bicycle or whatever from them please think twice and be careful, it's not fair to be ****** out of our hard earned money like this. I mean my daughter is said as she only played a rew hours on her bike and is sad everyday hoping we return this bike and get her a proper one. I'm disappointed at Raleigh brand also as I believe the negligence was on their side as well. I mean the bicycle was assembled at the shop by their staff so one can't say maybe we didn't assemble it correctly.
