Bad customer service experience
I have an account with Game for several years now, and some time back purchased a Samsung smart tv. I found a slight glitch on the screen of the tv and thought I return it as it was still within warrenty
Complaint of inconvenience incurred thus far. On the 1st October 2017, the tv was eventually sent off to the supplier for repairs. 1. After about 4 weeks of Game having trouble retrieving my receipt from their store and head office, and to add to the delay, experienced an additional few days delay as they had to retrieve the bar code from their data base which no longer had the tvs barcode. Eventually after about 5 weeks (after coming to store on two seperate occassions with the tv -time and prtorl money) booked the tv in (1st October), advised that the tv would be repaired and ready for collection by no later than 21 days - SLA - service level agreement. After the 21 days turn around I have not received my tv and went into Game store to enquire whats happening. Customer service simply advised me that they having issues with the supplier and that they will be in touch as soon as the person dealing with supplier has more information and or feedback. After several calls from myself to the store, to speak to the oerson that actually knows what is happening with the supplier, advised that the repair delay lies with the supplier and that everything is being done to have it returned asap. On the 22rd of November after many calls to the store (my time and airtime, as I sometimes needed to wait upon customer service getting hold of the right people, to update me with the repair status), was tokd that the tv is ready for collection. After expressing my dissatisfaction, was offered an apology with the blaim shifted to the supplier and for the inconvenieced caused offered me a R100.
I was happy with the apology and R100 simply as I felt relieved by the fact the tv was ready for collection and this repair issue woild be behind me. Upon collection, the tvs front clips was notisibly loose and not properly fitted to standard. It could be repair or fitted properly instore and had to be booked in once again to have restored to proper statue.
Since then to date, I have not heard anything from Game as they have advised they would call me to update with status, etc.
Game has neglected to several call backs, complete lack of communication, and have shifted responsibilty and ownership of the repair to the supplier - their issues between supplier and Game are theirs to resolve and non of my concern. Furthermore, as far asSLA of 21 days, it has long time lapsed and almost tripled totalling almost 60 days, that me and my family is without a tv and am completely inconvenienced by this delay and very fustrated by the lack of communication and non ownership of this repair.
