BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FALSE POLICIES
If you are planning to buy a laptop at Game, don't. I went to the Game in Rosebank Mall and bought a Dell Core i5 on promotion for R9000 (original price R12 000). For one, the lady helping me at the time told me that if I am dissatisfied with the laptop I can always bring it back and either get a different one or get my money back - as long as I keep the slip and the laptop is still in the same manner as when I took it (which is pretty standard). I bought the laptop and within a week, it was being slow and rather glitchy which was surprising for an 8GB ram laptop which I had not installed anything at all in. And so I went back to try and swap it for a Lenovo (about 12 days after purchase) and the very same lady told me that I would not be allowed to return it. I was also told that the 1 year warranty doesn't cover system failure (which makes absolutely no sense to me). And so now I am stuck with a faulty laptop.
I am a final year student doing chemical engineering and I needed a new laptop so I can run certain software in order to complete my research project and this has been absolutely upsetting that I used R9000 of my money for a glitchy laptop only to be told that I cannot return it or even let alone swap it.
