ADVERTISING SPECIALS AND NO STOCK AVAILABLE
On 17 March 2015 Game advertised that they had a special on a Trojan 320 treadmill. That same day I went in to buy one. I was told that they had none in stock and gave me an order number. On the 29 March I went back to the store to find out what is happening. I was again told that they are still waiting for stock. On 1 April I lodged a complaint via email to their head office. Today I was phoned by a lady explaining that they have now ordered one and I will only get it by the 9th April as they have had no stock in the Western Cape since it was advertised.

How can a company advertise an item and they have no stock available?
Is it merely to lure customers into their branches?

As I understand from sales staff, this happens quite often and they do get a lot of complaints.
I have now told Game to cancel my order as I will be buying elsewhere.
