Abusive sales techniques

I was shopping with my family at Game in Boksburg and was walking around the store with my 6 year old daughter to keep her occupied while my wife picked out a few Xmas gifts. A Tevo merchandiser (Tshipiso) pushed a little plush toy into my daughter's hands and told her to tell her dad to buy her this toy. I told my daughter no and to put the toy down when Tshipiso said out loud in front of my 6 year old daughter, "come on dad, don't spoil Christmas for your daughter!" I called a manager and she apologised for the inconvenience and called the general manager who also apologised and made excuses that the Tevo merchandisers are not their staff and not trained properly. This behavior of the merchandiser has now scarred my daughter. Whenever the adverti*****t for this toy comes up on TV or when we are in the shops and she sees the toy, my daughter bursts into tears.

This is not an inconvenience! My daughter's heart is broken and I'm left to pick up the pieces.

Is this how Game accepts merchandiser to operate in their stores? Ultimately Game is responsible for all merchandisers operating in their stores.
