****** at galkeria mall... a hellish experience

<p>we are tourists from the Western Cape. we landed in Durban fetched our rental car and went to Galleria Mall to do some shopping for our holiday. we parked in the undercover parkin at about 4pm on the 15th of November (Tuesday afternoon) and went into the mall. there are security camera's in the mall as well as security guards visibly patrolling the premises. at about 6pm we returned to our car, opened our boot to find it empty. our 2 suitcases, laptop and handbags were gone. we were stranded at the mall with no clothes, toiletries, docs to fly back home etc. we had been remote jammed and ****** in broad daylight. we alerted security who took 15-20 min to come to us. they were unconcerned, very casual and offerred no support. they said there was nothing to be done as all managers were not on sight. they eventually called a supervisor who was very rude arrogant and offered no support. the next day we reported the case to the police who informed us that this occurred at galleria mall at least 3-4 times a week. we notified management and was seen by the operations manager at the mall. he was just as unsympathetic, completely inneficient and has not not followed up or given us any feedback since. we are shocked that this could happen at a mall. and am concerned as many of our friends and family shop here. we do not want this to happen to anybody else and will be publishing in the papers etc. a terrible experience to go through, made worse by the inefficency and lack of compassion by the staffat Galleria Mall.</p>
