Poor installation refused to refund!!!

Title: Poor installation of hair extensions and refusal to refund – Galeo Beauty Salon I recently chose butterfly weft extensions through Galeo Beauty Salon. During the initial consultation, I was advised that they install genius weft extensions, however when I was put in contact with the installer, I was told they only install using beads. I agreed to proceed regardless. After being quoted, I was persistently contacted to make payment. Once payment was made, I was then asked to confirm my colour choice, which I provided using the same codes from my previous hairdresser. On the day of my appointment, I was asked to sign an indemnity form before the service began. The installation itself appeared fine initially, however the very next day the extensions already started loosening. From that point onwards, the condition worsened daily. I use a proper extension brush and have experience with extensions over the years, and I have never experienced this kind of issue before. The extensions are now visibly loose, I cannot tie my hair without them showing, and parts are hanging, making it look very unprofessional. I reported the issue within 5 days (15 March), but despite this, the salon has attributed the problem to aftercare without proper assessment and has refused to take responsibility. I have since had to seek assistance from another salon, where it has been confirmed that this is an installation issue and not due to my handling. The salon has refused to refund the installation and insists I return for assessment, which would cost me approximately R600 in transport and require time off work. This is not reasonable given the poor quality of the service. In terms of the Consumer Protection Act, services must be carried out with reasonable care and quality.
