Poor service at its best
I’m very disappointed with our experience at this place. We checked in on the 9th of April and asked about the house rules, but nothing was clearly explained to us.
On Saturday, we wanted to have lunch with our relatives, and that’s when we were suddenly told that visitors are not allowed — something that was never mentioned when we checked in. Instead of handling the situation professionally, we were told that if we couldn’t follow the rules, we should leave, even though it was already late at night. We had no choice but to stay since we were leaving the next day.
Early Sunday morning, we went out to buy breakfast. When we returned and tried to use the kitchen, we were told to check out immediately. We didn’t even get a chance to bathe or eat the food we had just bought.
What made the situation worse was the owner’s attitude. When we raised our concerns, he didn’t even try to understand what had happened. Instead, he simply said we should be refunded and leave. There was no communication, no effort to resolve the issue.
This was our first time in Cape Town, and we didn’t know anyone, which made the experience even more stressful and upsetting.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Better communication and respect for guests are seriously needed.
